‘It felt like a miracle’: Family of lost golden retriever Rocky shares impossible reunion story
Rocky, a golden retriever, was reunited with his family after going missing for two days following a boating accident in Charleston. On June 23, Rocky fell into the water after the boat hit a concrete structure. His owner, Jeff Wiseman, was injured and taken to the hospital, while emergency responders searched for Rocky, stopping overnight.
Kim, Jeff’s wife, posted on Facebook for help, and by the next morning, the community joined the search. Two days later, Rocky was found miles away in a family’s backyard. Kim called the reunion a miracle, thanking everyone who helped.
The Charleston Animal Society reminds boaters to always use life vests for pets, as they do for children, to ensure their safety on the water.
