In a heartfelt Instagram post, Ward expressed his grief, calling Amani a “joyful spirit” who brought light into their lives. “She triumphed over hardship early in life and was constantly joyful, beaming up every room with her smile,” he wrote. Ward also reflected on the lessons Amani taught him, including patience, trust, and optimism.
The 49ers organization also issued a statement expressing their condolences and support for Ward and his family, describing Amani as a source of happiness with her infectious personality.
