Country music legend Alan Jackson shares major life update – ‘blessings overflowing’

Alan Jackson is preparing for his farewell tour, driven by a desire to spend more time with family. This decision follows the recent arrival of his new grandson, Wesley Alan Smith, born on June 20.

In February, Jackson shared his excitement about the growing family on social media, expressing joy for his daughter Mattie and her husband, Connor Smith. Reflecting on his extensive 30-year career, the 65-year-old artist mentioned, “I’ve played everywhere and had a wonderful career,” but now feels it’s time to focus on home as his daughters are grown and he has grandchildren to cherish.

His tour, titled “Last Call: One More for the Road,” will kick off on August 2, 2025. Jackson also noted that he has Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, a condition affecting his mobility, which has influenced his retirement decision. “I want to think about maybe calling it quits before I’m unable to do the job like I want to,” he explained. With his farewell tour approaching, Jackson is ready to embrace a new chapter focused on family and health.
