Woman Leaves Newborn on Business Class Plane Seat, Decides to Find Him 13 Years Later
A woman named Rhonda abandons her newborn son on a business jet seat, fearing she can’t care for him. Her father, David Harris, was furious when she revealed her pregnancy, insisting she terminate it. After leaving her father’s home, she sought refuge with her boyfriend Peter, who also rejected her and the baby. Alone and in labor, Rhonda was helped by a kind stranger, Angela Bamford, who supported her through the birth and offered to buy her a ticket to start anew in New York.
Once in the city, overwhelmed with anxiety about her ability to care for her child, Rhonda made the heart-wrenching decision to leave her baby, whom she named Matthew, on the plane with a note explaining her situation. Thirteen years later, Rhonda, now stable and regretful, searches for Matthew, eventually finding him living with Lincy, a flight attendant who had discovered him on the plane.
When Rhonda finally meets Matthew, he lashes out, expressing anger over her abandonment. Despite her remorse and desire for forgiveness, Matthew insists he’s happy with his adoptive parents. Rhonda pleads for a chance to explain herself, but Matthew remains resistant to her presence.
