Harrison Ford has withdrawn from tonight’s Oscars as a presenter at the last minute – here’s why.

Over the weekend, Harrison Ford was unable to present at the Oscars due to shingles.

According to ABC News, Mark Hamill, his “Star Wars” co-conspirator, will take his place at the podium.

The 82-year-old “Indiana Jones” star contracted the excruciating, rash-causing disease brought on by the same virus that causes chickenpox in children just after the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced that she would be a presenter last Wednesday.

According to Ford’s representative, he received his diagnosis on Friday and formally left the Oscars ceremony on Saturday morning. According to Entertainment Weekly, he was resting and doing fine.

According to the Academy, Ford was scheduled to present alongside Rachel Zegler, Zoe Saldaña, Andrew Garfield, Samuel L. Jackson, Margaret Qualley, Alba Rohrwacher, Dave Bautista, and Gal Gadot.

Halle Berry, Penélope Cruz, Willem Dafoe, Lily-Rose Depp, Robert Downey Jr., Elle Fanning, Whoopi Goldberg, Selena Gomez, Goldie Hawn, Scarlett Johansson, Bowen Yang, and John Lithgow are just a few of the other presenters that were previously announced.

Ford famously cracker-bombed his “Shrinking” co-star Jessica Williams during his presentation at the Screen Actors Guild awards last week by crunching in the background while she was giving a monologue about her acting career from their table.
