Trump Says Harris Win Will Bring ‘1929-Style Depression’ Within 3 Days
At a rally in Salem, Virginia, former President Donald Trump warned that if Vice President Kamala Harris were to win the election, it would lead to an economic depression akin to the 1929 crash. He contrasted this with his own vision, promising “the best jobs, the biggest paychecks, and the brightest economic future.”
Trump referenced a recent report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics showing only 12,000 jobs created in October—far below the expected numbers—and highlighted the loss of nearly 30,000 private-sector and 50,000 manufacturing jobs in a single month. He called these numbers “depression-level” figures, criticizing the Biden-Harris administration for a “catastrophic agenda” that he claims has wiped out over 100,000 manufacturing jobs this year.
Trump also argued that Black Americans are suffering the most from the administration’s policies, particularly its open-border approach, which he believes is exacerbating job losses.
Additionally, wage growth has slowed, with the Employment Cost Index (ECI) showing its smallest increase in over three years, signaling a downturn in wage growth and inflation, which could hurt Harris as the election nears.
