My husband got this picture from me and he immediately wanted a divorce
It was a peaceful day in the woods, and I snapped a picture while practicing target shooting, planning to share it with my husband. But instead of admiration, I received a message that left me unsettled.
“Whose hat is that?” he asked, referring to a white cowboy hat next to me.
Confused, I replied, “It’s mine,” only to have him insist, “No, it’s not. You’ve never had a hat like that. That’s his hat.”
Panic surged as I realized the hat was reminiscent of one my ex-boyfriend used to wear, almost identical to a gift I thought I’d discarded.
I quickly explained it was just a random hat I grabbed, but my husband was already spiraling. He saw it as a sign I was clinging to the past, and no matter how much I reassured him, the damage was done. The image of me with that hat was enough for him to believe something was off.
