Popular fast food chain with 2,100 locations will increase prices to cover pay raises
Waffle House employees are set to receive a pay raise after a year of negotiations with labor advocates. Starting in June, their base pay will increase by at least $3 per hour, eventually rising to $5.25 over two years. CEO Joe Rogers III emphasized that tips are not included in this base pay and that higher wages may apply in certain areas due to minimum wage laws.
To fund these raises, Waffle House plans to raise menu prices, with adjustments based on local market conditions. Rogers also noted that customers can expect more from their dining experience as prices increase.
