Mark Zuckerberg Warns Users Not To Take Screenshots On Facebook Messenger
Mark Zuckerberg has warned Messenger users to be cautious about taking screenshots of their chats, as they may now receive notifications if someone captures a disappearing message. In a January 2022 Facebook post, he announced this feature for end-to-end encrypted conversations.
This update follows Facebook Messenger’s introduction of disappearing messages, similar to features on rival platforms like Snapchat. Currently, this capability is available to U.S. users, with plans to expand to Europe.
While many welcomed the change, some pointed out potential workarounds, such as using screen recorders or taking photos with another device. Others expressed frustration, suggesting that Facebook should focus on more pressing real-world issues rather than virtual features.
