Robert Irwin gets ‘head smashed into tree’ during freak accident

Steve Irwin, the beloved Crocodile Hunter, inspired millions to appreciate and protect wildlife, especially his family. His son, Robert Irwin, a 20-year-old zookeeper, conservationist, and TV personality, has followed in his footsteps. At the 2024 Logie Awards, Robert attended right after catching crocodiles, despite suffering an injury from a tree. He cheerfully shared, “I just got my head smashed into a tree… but I’m here. I’m excited!” His sister, Bindi, expressed pride and support for him on social media.

Although Robert didn’t win the Gold Logie or Bert Newton Award, he called the night “a night to remember.” In February, he posted a heartfelt tribute to his father, sharing memories of riding around Australia Zoo on his father’s motorbike, which holds special significance for him.
