One Direction’s Liam Payne falls to death at Argentina hotel
Liam Payne, former member of One Direction, tragically died at 31 after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires. Argentine police confirmed that he suffered “very serious injuries incompatible with life” and that resuscitation was impossible.
Emergency personnel responded quickly after a 911 call, arriving at the Casa Sur hotel just seven minutes later to find Payne had already passed. One Direction rose to fame in 2010 through “The X Factor,” announcing an indefinite hiatus in 2016. Payne had recently been working on a solo album and attended a concert by bandmate Niall Horan in Buenos Aires on October 2.
