I Almost Gave up My Dog for Adoption Due to My Husband’s Plan, but My 4-Year-Old Revealed His Scheme
Our lively Labrador puppy, Max, brought immense joy to our home until my husband, Mark, suddenly developed a mysterious allergy. As he began to complain about Max’s fur and showed red rashes, I felt torn between my love for our puppy and my concern for my husband.
One day, our four-year-old daughter, Lily, found a used tube of lipstick in Mark’s drawer. This discovery sparked suspicion in me. I realized that Mark was faking his allergy to get rid of Max. Confronting him, I held up the lipstick and questioned his claims. He denied everything, insisting it belonged to his sister.
Two days later, I followed Mark when he left to meet a friend. To my shock, he arrived at a woman’s house and embraced her. It became clear that she was allergic to dogs, not him.
Determined to take control, I packed Mark’s belongings and left a note that read: “It turns out the puppy is allergic to you.” When Mark returned home, I confronted him about the affair. Though he apologized, I knew it was too late.
Mark left, and as I held Lily and Max, I felt a wave of peace. We would be okay without his lies—just the three of us, ready to face whatever came next.
