At just 13 years old, Luke Thiull from Iowa built his dream house in his backyard for the cost of an iPhone. While most teens are glued to screens, Luke was busy planning and building a tiny house, using funds raised from mowing lawns and doing fundraisers.
The house, built 75% from recycled materials, is 89 square feet and includes electricity, but no plumbing.
It’s a minimalistic space with a microwave, TV, a loft bed, and a BBQ. Luke’s parents supported him, with his dad emphasizing the life lessons learned from such a project. Luke hopes to inspire others with his ambition.
