PARENTS KEPT THEIR BABY HIDDEN TO SHIELD HER FROM PEOPLE’S CURIOUS LOOKS. NOW, AT THE AGE OF 2, SHE LOOKS BEAUTIFUL

Celine Casey was concerned about her daughter Vienna Brookshaw’s birthmark, a congenital melanocytic nevus (CMN), which appeared on her forehead when she was born in April 2021. While CMN is harmless, Celine worried it might affect Vienna emotionally as she grew, especially since it could be unpredictable in size and appearance.

After consulting doctors, Celine sought to have the birthmark removed, but the NHS rejected the surgery, deeming it cosmetic. Determined, Celine launched a GoFundMe campaign, raising $52,000 in 24 hours. However, rising costs during the COVID-19 pandemic meant they still needed an additional $27,000. At two years old, Vienna’s birthmark has now been removed, leaving only a small scar. Celine continues to share her daughter’s healing journey, often calling her “gorgeous.”
