Michael Jackson’s only daughter Paris proud of African-American roots, identifies as black

Paris Jackson, daughter of Michael Jackson, has long faced scrutiny over her appearance, with her fair skin and light eyes raising questions about her African-American heritage. Despite this, she remains close to her siblings and her late father, who protected their privacy. After Michael’s death in 2009, Paris struggled with PTSD, depression, and self-esteem, openly discussing her mental health challenges, including multiple suicide attempts and therapy.

Today, Paris is a successful musician with her band, The Soundflowers, and has modeled for brands like Chanel. In 2017, she publicly embraced her identity as a Black woman, despite her appearance leading some to question her claim. Paris proudly follows her father’s lessons on embracing one’s heritage and continues to advocate for mental health awareness and acceptance of diverse identities.
