Second body found: 7-year-old boy loses life after explosion In Newcastle
A tragic incident in Benwell claimed the lives of seven-year-old Archie York and a 30-year-old man, after three houses were destroyed on Violet Close. Six others were hospitalized, but no one is reported missing.
Superintendent Darren Adams expressed his sadness at the scene, saying, “A seven-year-old boy has sadly passed away despite the efforts of emergency services. This is a truly devastating outcome.”
Archie’s family has paid tribute to him, describing him as “a lovely lad.” His aunt, Abbie York, said, “Archie was my nephew, the most beautiful, funny, and caring little boy. We are devastated and heartbroken beyond words.”
