Police officer surprises 7-year-old boy selling lemonade with a pair of brand new sneakers for school
Who doesn’t love a classic lemonade stand? Recently, a young boy named Landen was selling lemonade and cookies near his home when Officer J. Perez from the Ansonia Police Department in Connecticut stopped by. His grandmother shared their interaction on Facebook, highlighting how the officer took the time to chat with Landen about his plans for the money, which he wanted to use for blue sneakers for school.
After their conversation, Officer Perez returned later with a pair of blue sneakers for Landen, making the boy’s day. Wendelyn Narvaez, Landen’s grandmother, expressed her gratitude, saying the officer made him feel special.
Ansonia Police Chief Wayne Williams praised Officer Perez, noting that he embodies the qualities sought in police officers. This heartwarming story reminds us that good deeds by police officers often go unnoticed. Please share if you’d like to hear more positive stories from law enforcement!
