She reflects on the bullying he faced after comedian Rosie O’Donnell suggested in 2016 that Barron might have autism, which she later deleted and apologized for. Melania expressed her outrage at the cruelty, emphasizing that while autism is not shameful, Barron is not autistic.

Additionally, Melania revealed that her “Be Best” campaign was partly inspired by these false rumors. The campaign aimed to educate children about online safety and address their concerns, advocating for adults to listen and support kids in becoming happy, productive adults.
