Wisconsin Dairy Queen Puts Up ‘Politically Incorrect’ Sign, Owner Stands By His Decision
A sign on the front window of a Dairy Queen in Kewaskum, Wisconsin, has gone viral for its bold political statements, including frequent holiday greetings like “Merry Christmas” and support for veterans. Owner Kevin Scheunemann explained that he posted it nearly four years ago to express his and his staff’s commitment to serving God and the country, especially after a complaint about Christian music in the restaurant.
The sign gained renewed attention when a visitor from Oregon shared a photo on Facebook, raising concerns about its exclusivity. While some support the message, others have criticized the poster. Local business owners back Scheunemann, suggesting that unhappy customers can simply leave. Dairy Queen, however, stated that the sign reflects the owner’s personal views and not corporate policy, emphasizing that all customers should be treated with respect regardless of their beliefs.
