Take a deep breath before seeing Tina Louise at 90 – this is Ginger from ‘Gilligan’s Island’ today

Tina Louise, best known for her role as Ginger in the iconic TV show Gilligan’s Island, became a superstar overnight. Born on February 11, 1934, in New York City, she had a challenging childhood after her parents divorced when she was four. Initially not interested in acting, her passion ignited after seeing a friend perform on Broadway.
Louise began her career as a model and nightclub singer, making her Broadway debut in 1952. Her breakthrough came with the film God’s Little Acre in 1958, which won her a Golden Globe. However, she chose to focus on Broadway and Italian films before landing the role of Ginger.
Though Gilligan’s Island ran for only three seasons, it became a beloved classic, and Louise received fan mail for her portrayal. Despite its success, the show ended due to network decisions rather than ratings.
After Gilligan’s Island, Tina continued acting, with roles in Kojak and The Stepford Wives. She remains active in her 90s, having written several books and volunteered at local schools. Tina Louise is the last surviving cast member of Gilligan’s Island, reflecting on her late friend Dawn Wells with fond memories.
Now residing in Manhattan, Tina remains open to life and new relationships, emphasizing that age is just a number. Despite being 90, her youthful spirit shines through, making it hard to believe her age.
