Sweater At Target Labeled ‘Deeply Offensive’ Target Responds: Get Over It

You’ve probably heard of ordinary people successfully challenging large corporations in court. One such individual is Richard Durkin, who won a 16-year dispute with HFC bank.

Recently, a woman named Reign Murphy expressed her outrage on Twitter about a sweater sold at Target that she found offensive. The sweater, featuring the phrase “OCD Obsessive Christmas Disorder,” sparked controversy as many felt it trivialized a serious psychological disorder that affects around 2.2 million Americans.

Reign’s tweet gained attention, with some users empathizing with her concerns, while others with OCD found humor in the design. Target spokesperson Jessica Carlson apologized to those offended but stated the design was not intended to harm and would remain on shelves.

Another woman also voiced her displeasure over t-shirts labeled “bride,” “trophy,” and “Mrs.,” arguing that they reduce women to objects. She vowed not to buy such items for her daughters.
